Holiday Festivities to Explore this Weekend

2012-2013NAH 001

Ballet Theatre Company’s ‘The Nutcracker’

Between holiday shopping, gift wrapping, and end of the year works tasks, all we want to do is relax and enjoy a fun show. Good thing there’s several to choose from this weekend. Ballet Theatre Company’s production of The Nutcracker opens tonight at the University of Saint Joseph and will play through Monday; A Christmas Carol continues at Hartford Stage; and – my personal favorite – Christmas on the Rocks, starring several characters from childhood holiday movies all grown up in a dark, hilarious tale.

But in case you haven’t finished holiday shopping, you should stop by Real Art Ways tonight for their Creative Cocktail Hour, where they’ll feature a special holiday market full of local vendors like Hartford Prints. Happy Holidays!

When you see [UA] in the heading, it means the organization is supported by the contributions made to the Arts Council’s Annual United Arts Campaign.
